Media Placements

Today, PR Agencies like to drop “big names” (of authors) to convince you they’d do well with your title.  We could play this game too, but the bottom line is, results don’t lie.  And we believe media placement is what authors are really interested in.

So while there are no guarantees in the publicity business, please consider the actual bookings that you see on this page (LISTED AT BOTTOM, in VIDEOS and in GRAPHIC), and know that when you retain Blue Dot Literary, you’re retaining one of the best networks of media rolodexes, media relationships, and media pitchers in the country.

TELEVISION

What makes us unique (and rare) is that our president specializes in national television placement--hands down THE most difficult publicity to get.  We’re proud of our network of national TV contacts, which includes key decision-makers in every major network, cable channel, and syndicated program in the country.  It is what has allowed us to book nearly every major national show in the country that presently feature authors.

We book local television as well, (in any city in the U.S.) and have already booked interviews in Los Angeles, New York, Boston, Chicago, San Francisco, San Diego, Indianapolis, Miami, Ft, Myers, Portland, Des Moines, Philadelphia, Charleston, Nashville, and Albuquerque just to name a few.

RADIO AND NPR

Aside from the established relationships we have at National Public Radio (NPR) and dozens of the nationally syndicated programs, our total radio contact list contains more than 7000 radio shows throughout the country.  While we focus primarily on the top 40 media markets, we can (and often do) extend our market focus, depending on the regional interests of the title.

PRINT

We regularly work with, and place, reviews in the major publishing trade publications (pre-pubs), national dailies and national magazines; including the NY Times, Los Angeles Times, Washington Post, Dallas Morning News, Chicago Tribune, and Boston Globe to name a few.  (SEE BELOW)

We also collaborate with authors and publishers to place off-the-book page features, news stories, and original content such as op-eds, and author profiles.

WEB

Web publicity and marketing continue to be a crucial part of our publicity campaigns, and a core expertise at the firm.  (As it is obviously the main publicity thrust for those titles whose main sales audience is on the web).

Our targeted in-house contact list for internet review, feature, or author tour sites numbers in the tens of thousands.  And we have placed countless web reviews, articles, guest blogs, mentions and links to the webs top sites, including Book Slut, Huffington Post, Daily Candy, i-Village, TrendHunter, SheKnows.com, About.com and AOL Living.
